Isabella was born in South Africa, and is fluent in both Afrikaans and English. She graduated from universities in South Africa and Canada, and holds a Bachelors in Theology from the University of Pretoria, a diploma in Christian Counselling from North West University (Potchefstroom), an M.Div. from Acadia University, and an MTS in psychotherapy from Tyndale University. She completed additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples in 2022.

Isabella truly believes that God can use our suffering to shape our character for eternal value and His glory. Isabella truly loves people. Her life’s calling is to be in this profession which she views as her vocation. She especially feels called to work with people suffering from traumatic life experiences. As she likes to say, “Life at the best of times can be difficult, however it is not our difficulties that define us, but the resilience we display in how we choose to deal with the difficulty we are presented with.” She lives her life filled with hope, and one of her favourite passages of Scripture is Job 14:9, “At least there is hope for a tree. If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. Yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant.”
